Rosemary Hook

Rosemary Hook, age 84 years, a resident of Vienna, Illinois, passed away Tuesday morning, March 26, 2024, at 12:05 A.M. at her home. Rosemary was born April 6, 1939 near Vienna. She was the daughter of Guy Frederick Pearce and Anna Rhudell (Russell) Pearce. Rosemary was united in marriage to Robert Dean “Bob” Hook for 63 years, prior to his passing. Rosemary is survived by: her children – Teri (Leo) Kerley and Douglas Wayne Hook all of Vienna, Illinois; 4 grandsons – Jacob (Jen) Kerley, Daniel (Samantha) Kerley, Nicholas (Amber) Robinson, and Wyatt (Rebecca) Robinson; 7 great grandchildren – Nate, Tanner, Liam, Alexandra, Honza, Atticus and Scarlett; 2 sisters – Jeanette Zych of Peotone, Illinois and Frances (Henry) Bullock of Grantsburg, Illinois; a brother-in-law – Jack Jones of Vienna, Illinois; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Rosemary was preceded in death by: a daughter and son-in-law – Sheri and Jon Robinson; a grandson – Shon Robinson; a sister – Shirley Jones and a brother-in-law – Stan Zych. Rosemary was a graduate of Buncombe Grade School. She was a member of the graduating class of 1957 from Vienna High School and also attended Shawnee Community College. Rosemary began her working career as an office assistant/secretary at Vienna Grade School during the 1964-1965 school year. She retired with the position of bookkeeper in 1999. In more recent years, she had worked as a tax preparer and bookkeeper at John Huckelberry Bookkeeping Service in Vienna. Rosemary was a member of the Vienna City Zoning Board and the Daniel Chapman Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a longtime faithful member of First Baptist Church in Vienna. A funeral service honoring the life of Rosemary Hook will be held Tuesday afternoon, April 2, 2024, at 1 P.M. at First Baptist Church, 301 N. 7th Street, Vienna, Illinois 62995. Pastor Brian Lingle will officiate. Burial will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. Visitation will be conducted Monday, April 1, 2024, from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. There will be a further time of visitation from 12 Noon – 1 P.M. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Vienna. Memorials may be made to the Heather Harper Treat Memorial Fund, P.O.
