Orris V. McGill

Orris V. McGill, daughter of Frank Austin and Lillian (Milam) Austin, was born March 24, 1939 in Turrell, Arkansas. She went home to be with her Lord & Savior Thursday morning, July 19, 2007, at 3:26 AM at the Hillview Health Care Center in Vienna, IL. At the time of her passing, Orris was surrounded by her loving family. At the time of her passing, Orris had attained the age of 68 years. Orris was united in marriage to Walter ƒ?oW.J.ƒ?? McGill on September 13, 1955 in Marion, Arkansas. Together, they had enjoyed over 51 years of marriage. In addition to her Husband, Orris is survived by: 2 Sons ƒ?" Ronald & Michele McGill of Simpson, IL and Stephen & Lisa McGill of Vienna, IL; 4 Grandchildren - Mandy & Ashby Tillery of Kennett, MO, Ben & Cindy McGill of Vienna, IL, Jeffery McGill, serving with the U.S. Military in Baghdad, Iraq, Trevis McGill of Vienna, IL; 3 Great Grandchildren - Arris McGill, Claire Tillery, Noelle Tillery; 2 Sisters ƒ?" Helen & Ray Foster of Fresno, CA and Bert Derrick of Turrell, AR; 1 Brother ƒ?" Harold & Peggy Austin of Turrell, AR; Several Nieces & Nephews; 2 Sisters-in-Law ƒ?" Mary Austin of W. Memphis, AR, Darlene Austin of Lockport, IL. In addition to her Parents, Orris was preceded in death by: 2 Brothers ƒ?" George Austin and Kenneth Austin; a Brother-in-Law ƒ?" Billy Derrick. Orris was a homemaker. She was a member of the Gilead Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she had served as a vacation bible school volunteer, a nursery worker and member of the choir. Orris enjoyed walking with friends, gardening, working in her flowers and cleaning house. She enjoyed playing cards, especially with Ben. Orris also enjoyed playing the board game Aggravation. She liked listening to Southern Gospel music and attending concerts. Orris was devoted to her family and especially loved her Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, July 21, 2007 at 1 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna, IL. Burial will be in the Gilead Cemetery, near Simpson, IL. Friends may call from 6 PM ƒ?" 9 PM Friday evening at the Bailey Funeral Home.
