Kathleen was a former longtime resident of Island Lake (McHenry County) Illinois. Kathleen was born May 26, 1977 in Waukegan, Illinois. She was the daughter of Dennis Stolarik and Marilyn (Ahlberg) Stolarik. Kathleen was formerly united in marriage to Jeffery McIntosh. Kathleen is survived by: her children – Kaelyn Marie McIntosh and Ian James McIntosh both of Vienna; her father – Dennis and stepmother Kaye Stolarik of Lake Villa, Illinois; Her siblings – Shane Stolarik, Todd Stolarik, and Susan (Kristopher) Stolarik Glave all of Illinois; nieces and nephews – Ben, Jace, Vivianne, Royce, and Valentina; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. In addition to her mother, Kathleen was preceded in death by: her paternal grandparents – John and Florence Stolarik; and her maternal grandparents – Benjamin and Ernestine Schweider and Ahti Ahlberg. Kathleen was a 1995 graduate of Antioch (Illinois) High School. She had been employed at Honeywell, Inc at Metropolis. She worked in the construction division and later in the security department. More recently, Kathleen was employed as a correctional officer at the Tri-County Detention Center near Ullin. Kathleen loved the outdoors. She enjoyed jeeping and was a member of the 618-Tri-County Jeep Club. Kathleen also enjoyed hiking, gardening, mushroom hunting and spending time in nature. She also loved her dogs and raising chickens. Kathleen was of the Catholic faith. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday afternoon, November 13, 2022, at 2 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Pastor Alan Milligan will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Buncombe. The family will receive relatives and friends from 12 Noon – 2 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to an educational fund which will be established for Kaelyn and Ian. Donations may be directed to Susan Glave, 439 Red Rock Drive, Lindenhurst, Illinois 60046. Also, please make checks payable to Susan Glave. For the convenience of those unable to personally attend the memorial service, it will be live-streamed.
