Helen J. Trovillion Carter

Helen Jewel Trovillion Carter, was born October 23, 1917 in Grantsburg, IL. She was the daughter of Robert Stockdale and Ethel (Holloway) Stockdale. She departed this life Saturday evening, June 30, 2007 at 5:35 PM at the Hillview Health Care Center in Vienna, IL. At the time of her passing, Helen had attained the age of 89 years 8 months & 7 days. Helen was united in marriage to Ned Lowell Trovillion on July 31, 1936 in Flint, MI. He preceded her in death on February 3, 1963. She was later united in marriage to Dennis F. Carter on December 19, 1967 in Buncombe, IL. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1984. Survivors include: 1 Daughter ƒ?" Edna Ethel & Bruce Walter of Vienna, IL; 4 Sons ƒ?" Kenneth Dale Trovillion of West Frankfort, IL, Larry Gene Trovillion of Grantsburg, IL, Lowell Edward & Susie Trovillion of Grantsburg, IL, Danny Joe & Susan Trovillion of Grantsburg, IL; 1 Stepdaughter ƒ?" Lois Ann & Gus Benson of Anna, IL; 1 Stepson ƒ?" Jerry & Betty Carter of Buncombe, IL; 14 Grandchildren ƒ?" Kevin & Debbie Trovillion, Kent & Ann Trovillion, Sherry & Danny Field, Doug & Julie Walter, Lisa & Abbey Barros Da-Silva, Ned Trovillion, Doug Trovillion, Donna Carman, Debbie Smith, Denise & Mark Turpen, Christie & Billy Gallamore, Gary Trovillion, Joel & Tracy Trovillion and Jud Trovillion; 15 Great Grandchildren ƒ?" Kayla, Kelin, Laeytn, Amanda, Heather, Desiree, Jade, Derek, Marysol, Carter, Clayton, Hunter, Brittany, Kaley and Trever; 3 Step Grandchildren; 3 Step Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces & Nephews. In addition to her Parents & Husbands, Helen was preceded in death by: 2 Sisters ƒ?" Louellen Simpson and Verna Burgess; 1 Brother ƒ?" Edward Stockdale; a Daughter-In-Law ƒ?" Liz Trovillion; a Son-In-Law ƒ?" Ray Walter; 2 Grandchildren ƒ?" Sonja Renee Walter & Jay Allen Walter; 2 Great Grandchildren ƒ?" Kaci & Kyle Carman. Helen was retired from the Anna State Hospital were she had been employed as a Psychiatric Technician. She had also worked at the Grantsburg Post Office and as a cook at the Wartrace School. Helen was of the Protestant faith. Helen enjoyed gardening and reading Zane Grey western novels. She especially loved cooking for family gatherings. Helen enjoyed listening to Gospel music and saxophone music. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, July 3, 2007 at 11 AM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna, IL. Rev. David Faulkner will officiate. Burial will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 PM Monday at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
