Donald L. ƒ?oDoodlesƒ?? King Age: 66 years A resident of Cypress, IL. Passed away Thursday morning, December 27, 2007, at 1:04 AM at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis, Illinois. Doodles was born December 28, 1940 in Union County Illinois. He was the son of W.H. King and Fredia (Erwin) King. Doodles was united in marriage to Mary Jo Henard on April 6, 1961 at the Cypress Baptist Church. She survives. Other survivors include: 2 Daughters - Stacy J. King, and her husband Mark, of Bardwell, KY Mistee King & Emily Clutts of Jonesboro, IL 2 Grandchildren - Stephen King and Alex King a Step Granddaughter ƒ?" Kayla King a Sister ƒ?" Kay Tapley, and her husband Scott, of Karnak, IL a Sister-in-Law ƒ?" Evelyn King of Cypress, IL a Brother-in-Law ƒ?" Barry Henard of Dongola, IL a Dear & Special Friend ƒ?" Steve Evans of Marion, IL Nieces & Nephews, other relatives, many dear friends, ƒ?owasher-pitchingƒ?? buddies, and all those who stood by Doodles and his family during his many illnesses, surgeries, and heart transplant operation in 1998. In addition to his Parents, Doodles was preceded in death by: a Daughter ƒ?" Vicki K. Taylor 2 Brothers ƒ?" Mike King and Dean King Doodles was a 1958 graduate of the Vienna High School. He had been employed as an iron worker and later worked as an operator at Electric Energy Inc. (E.E.I.) in Joppa, IL, retiring due to health reasons in 1996. Doodles was a member of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) and an avid motorcycle rider. He also enjoyed spending time pitching washers and was a member of the Southern Illinois Washer Pitching Association. Doodles also enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and mechanic work. Doodles was a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church in Union Co. Illinois. A Graveside Service will be conducted Saturday afternoon, December 29, 2007, at 2 PM at Friendship Cemetery near Dongola, IL. Rev. Gary Oƒ?TNeal will officiate. Friends may call after 5 PM Friday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
