Dolores L. Lauderdale Age: 75 years A resident of Marion, Illinois and a former resident of the Buncombe community. Passed away Friday morning, April 20, 2012, at 2:22 AM at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, IL. Dolores was born January 11, 1937 in East St. Louis, Illinois. She was the daughter of Thomas Audie Gray & Selma Lucille (Oller) Gray. Dolores was united in marriage to Roy Lauderdale, Jr. on May 5, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death on September 10, 2002. Survivors include: Her Children - Carol Fairless of Golconda, IL Cindy Arthur of Vienna, IL Karen Vaughn of Marion, IL Gary & Sherri Lauderdale of Johnson City, IL David Lauderdale of Buncombe, IL Kathy Underwood of Vienna, IL Sharon & Richard Jordan of Pittsburg, IL Amie Lauderdale of Marion, IL 16 Grandchildren - Matthew, Erin, & Will Fairless Melissa & Cameron Riley Kim & Stephan Whatley Rachel (Dakota Johnson), Rebekah, & Robert Luke Vaughn Teryn & Taylor Lauderdale Jeff & Amanda Lauderdale Steven & Kim Lauderdale David & Miranda Jordan Nicole Lauderdale (Gavin Taylor) & Dylan Miller 10 Great Grandchildren - Ethan Parks Jaiden, Brooklynne, & Isaiah Riley Kaleb & Karsen Whatley Noah Vaughn-Johnson Tyler & Hannah Lauderdale Derek Taylor 2 Sisters - Patty & Ken Duke of Cape Coral, FL Evelyn & Wendall Harris of Double Springs, AL A Brother-in-Law – Randall McMinn of Evanston, IL A Sister-in-Law – Melva Dean Lauderdale of Springfield, IL A host of nieces and nephews In addition to her parents and husband, Dolores was preceded in death by: 4 Sisters – Louise McMinn, Dorothy Manis, Barbara Zromba, & Judith Martin 3 Brothers – Robert Gray, Donald Gray, & Thomas Gray, Jr. Dolores was a devoted homemaker. She dearly loved and was dedicated to her family. Dolores had also worked as a home health care provider for a number of years. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Dolores enjoyed working in her yard and tending her flowers. Funeral services will be Monday afternoon, April 23, 2012, at 2 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in the Rock Community in Pope County, Illinois. Visitation will be after 4 PM Sunday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
