Dolores Brown

Dolores Gabriela Brown, age 91 years, a resident of Vienna, passed away Sunday afternoon, January 21, 2024 at 2:15 P.M. at her home. Dolores was the sixth of seven children born to Aurelia (Sanchez) Santos and Luis Santos-Mendiola on March 24, 1932 in Laredo, Texas. On October 18, 1952, Dolores was united in marriage to Roland L. Studer, Sr. in Shalbina, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1969. She was later united in marriage to Delbert “Eddie” Brown on August 9, 1975 at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1982. Dolores is survived by: her children – Roland L. Studer, Jr. (Dorothy Bacon) and Ronald R. (Cindy) Studer of Vienna; 3 grandchildren – Vicky Replogle of Cairo, Missouri, Brandon Studer and Chelsea Studer of Vienna; 2 great grandchildren – Tanner Maloney and Breann Ramage; 4 great-great grandchildren; bonus grandchildren- John (Toni) Bacon III and Danica (Joshua) Hebert; 4 bonus great grandchildren and was anticipating the birth of a bonus great-great grandson who is due in July; 2 siblings – Hector Santos of Monterey, Mexico and Magali Musselwhite of Hampton, Virginia; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husbands, Dolores was preceded in death by: 4 siblings- Joseph Santos, Dora Baker, Helen Trujillo and Lauren Prueden; as well as an infant daughter, Vicky Lyle Studer. Dolores served as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She had worked in nursing homes in Missouri and Virginia as well as providing in home health care services locally. In her free time, Dolores enjoyed music and played the organ as well as showing her creative side in her drawings and spending time coloring in adult coloring books. Dolores was a parishioner of St. Paul Catholic Church in Vienna. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public visitation or service. Inurnment will be in spring 2024 at Rock Springs Cemetery near Simpson, Illinois. Memorials can be made to the Rock Springs Cemetery c/o Roy Kerley, 8335 State Rt. 147 Simpson, Illinois, 62985.
