Caroline Rose Evans Age: 68 years A resident of Belknap, IL. Passed away Friday evening, February 8, 2008, at 9:35 PM at the Southgate Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis, IL. Caroline Rose was born December 19, 1939 in Belknap, IL. She was the daughter of Rev. Charles Raymond Avery and Jewel Etta (Johnson) Avery. Caroline Rose was united in marriage to Johnny Evans on August 9, 1958 at the Forman Methodist Church. He survives. Other survivors include: 2 Daughters - LaDonna Kay & James Schroeder of Metropolis, IL Kathy Ann & Bill Meyers of Belknap, IL 4 Grandchildren - Amanda Jo Bowerman of Campbell Hill, IL Stephanie Schroeder & Ryan Schroeder of Metropolis, IL Tiffany Meyers of Belknap a Great Grandson - Kyler Bowerman of Campbell Hill, IL a Niece - Deborah & Rich Elliott of Anna, IL a Special Great Nephew, whom she thought of as a grandson, Damon Archey an Aunt ƒ?" Mary Johnson of Vienna, IL a Sister-in-Law ƒ?" Christina Faulkner of Metropolis, IL 2 Brothers-in-Law ƒ?" Gilbert ƒ?oGibƒ?? & Sue Evans of Marion, IL Weldon ƒ?oRipƒ?? & Diane Evans of Ullin, IL Several Nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives, dear friends, and neighbors. In addition to her Parents, Caroline Rose was preceded in death by: a Sister ƒ?" Elizabeth Goins 2 Brothers-in-Law ƒ?" Cecil Faulkner and Cecil ƒ?oPreacherƒ?? Evans Caroline Rose was a 1957 graduate of the Vienna High School. She later worked as a secretary at the Vienna High School. Caroline Rose then was employed as a retail clerk at Christinaƒ?Ts Ladies Clothing Store, and later at Billƒ?Ts Food Mart, The Piggly-Wiggly Grocery Store, & Reynoldƒ?Ts Food Mart in Vienna. Caroline Rose was a member of the Belknap Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary. She had attended the Belknap Methodist Church, the Forman Community Church, and later the Belknap Community Church. Caroline Rose was devoted to her family and dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed being a homemaker, and took special pride in the laundry and cooking. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning, February 12, 2008, at 11 AM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Rev. David Faulkner will officiate. Burial will be in the Belknap Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 PM Monday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
