Louella Parks

December 10, 1934 - April 30, 2022

Louella Parks, age 87 years, a resident of the Reevesville community, passed away Saturday evening, April 30, 2022, at 8:42 PM at the Hillview Health Care Center in Vienna. Louella was born December 10, 1934 in Johnson County Illinois. She was the daughter of William Henry Troutt and Naoma Florence (nee) Troutt. On July 28, 1951, Louella was united in marriage to Fred Parks. He preceded her in death on December 9, 1999. Louella is survived by: her grandchildren – Christopher Parks of Marion, Patrick (Kassandra) Parks of Karnak, and Amber Parks of Metropolis; 8 great grandchildren – Thomas Ethridge, Hayden Ethridge, Isabella Parks, Ronnie Corzine, Larissa Parks, Loralie Parks, William Parks, and Lanie Parks; 2 sisters – Geraldine Grisham of Joliet and Dixie Deel of the Reevesville community; a brother – Johnny Troutt of Vienna; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Louella was preceded in death by: her sons – Chris, Larry, James, and Billy Parks; 2 sisters – Opal Bernice Hayes and Ovella Rushing; and a brother – Henry “Dickie” Troutt. Louella was a homemaker. She had also worked as a cook and had been employed at the Hillivew Health Care Center in Vienna. Louella enjoyed quitling, gardening, and arrowhead hunting. She was a member of the Reevesville Community Church. A Graveside Service honoring the life of Louella Parks will be conducted Saturday morning, May 7, 2022, at 11:30 AM at the Reevesville Cemetery. Inurnment will follow. The family will receive friends from 11 AM – 11:30 AM Satuday morning at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Reevesville Community Church or to the Reevesville Cemetery and may be left in the care of Bailey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 695, Vienna, IL. 62995.
