Jeanne Williams

Jeanne Marie (Sanders) Williams, age 59 years, a resident of rural Vienna, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 5, 2024, at 2 P.M. at her home. Jeanne was born July 23, 1964 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was the daughter of Charles Raymond Sanders and Marilyn Jean (Lasley) Sanders. On June 28, 1992, Jeanne was united in marriage to Boyd Lee Williams at Pere Marquette State Park. In addition to her husband, Jeanne is survived by: her sons – Charles Andrew (his wife, Rebecca) Williams of Henderson, Kentucky and Matthew Boyd (his wife, Abigail) Williams of Affton, Missouri; 4 grandchildren – Bryleigh Williams, Finn Williams, Parker Williams and Samuel Williams; a brother – Steve (his wife, Michelle) Sanders of Vienna; and a nephew – Aiden Sanders of Vienna. In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by: her maternal grandparents – Frank and Mary Helen Lasley and her paternal grandparents – Raymond and Marie Sanders. Jeanne was a 1982 graduate of Vienna High School. She earned a Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis on mathematics and science from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Jeanne was an elementary school teacher. She was employed for 34 years by the Vienna Grade School until her retirement in 2020. Jeanne enjoyed a number of activities and past times, including cooking, gardening and traveling. She cherished her family and loved them dearly. Jeanne was a member of the Ozark Baptist Church. A service honoring the life of Jeanne Williams will be conducted Thursday morning, May 9, 2024, at 11 A.M. at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Pastor David Michael Webb will officiate. Burial will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M. at the funeral home. There will also be an additional time of visitation Thursday morning, May 9, 2024, from 10 A.M. – 11 A.M. prior to the funeral service.
