B. Eudora Crim

B. Eudora Crim, age 82 years, a resident of the Brownfield community in rural Pope County Illinois, passed away Saturday morning, June 15, 2024, at 12:01 A.M. at Mercy Health – Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky. Eudora was born September 5, 1941 in Karnak, Illinois. She was the daughter of Luther and Lou Bertha (Johnson) Crossland. On January 19, 1962, Eudora was united in marriage to James E. Crim, Jr. in Metropolis, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2013. Eudora is survived by: her children – Bruce E. Crim of the Brownfield community, Marie E. Crim of Paducah, Kentucky, and Jason E. Crim of Carterville; 2 grandchildren – Antoine (Ashley) McCauley and KeiMocia “Meme” McCauley; 6 great grandchildren – Saniya, Zakiya, Jontavius, Josiah, Antoine Jr., & Ayden; a great-great grandchild – Ki’lanni; her siblings – Gloria Crossland, James Crossland, Judy Chambliss, Peggy Patterson, Perry Crossland, & Billy Crossland; 3 brothers-in-law – Robert, Ricky and Rodney Crim; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Eudora was preceded in death by; a son and daughter-in-law – Michael E. & Starla Crim; and a brother – Leonard Harper. Eudora was a 1961 graduate of Joppa High School. She was a homemaker. Eudora is fondly remembered for her love of cooking and baking. She also enjoyed shopping and loved to read. Eudora was a faithful member of the Macedonia Baptist Church, near Brownfield. She was also a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. A service honoring the life of Eudora Crim will be conducted Saturday afternoon, June 22, 2024, at 1 P.M. at Macedonia Baptist Church, 310 Illinois Highway 145 North, Golconda, Illinois. Pastor Benny Heady will officiate. Burial will be in the Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 11 A.M. until the service time at 1 P.M. at the Macedonia Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Macedonia Baptist Church or the Macedonia Cemetery. Donations for either may be mailed to: Debra Crim, 220 Macedonia Road, Golconda, Illinois 62938. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Darren Crim, Darryl Crim, Dartanyen Crim, Dimitri Crim, Kendrick Crossland, Garland Hill, and Rodney Crim.
