Wade L. Kerley Age: 88 A resident of Vienna, IL Passed away Thursday, July 20, 2006, at 10:10 AM at the Herrin Hospital. Born: May 25, 1918 in Simpson, IL. He was the son of Achillis Green ƒ?oA.G.ƒ?? Kerley and Bertha (Aly) Kerley. Wade was united in marriage to Wanda Stewart on July 21, 1948 in Vienna, IL. She preceded him in death on August 25, 2005. Survivors include: A Brother ƒ?" Ward Kerley, and his wife Dorothy, of Simpson, IL A Nephew ƒ?" Roy Kerley of Vienna, IL A Niece ƒ?" Lana Palmer of Belleville, IL Great Nieces, Great Nephews, Sisters-in-Law, Brothers-in-Law, and a host of other relatives & friends. In addition to his Parents & Wife, Wade was preceded in death by an infant Brother, Aly Kerley. Wade was a graduate of the Simpson High School. He was employed as a Press Operator for several years at the Geneva Modern Kitchenƒ?Ts Assembly Plant. Following the plant closing, he operated a truck route for Harrison Heating Oil Company, then worked as a Foreman for Welchƒ?Ts Construction Co. in Elgin, IL until his retirement to Southern Illinois. Wade was an active member and currently served as Marshall at the Gurnee Masonic Lodge # 778 AF&AM at Simpson, IL. He was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a Life Member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Elgin, IL. Additionally, Wade was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America. He was a member of the Simpson Baptist Church. Wade was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing and boating. Wade especially enjoyed watching sporting events and was a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, July 23, 2006, at 1:30 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Rev. Richard Martin & Rev. William Barrett will officiate. Interment will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 PM ƒ?" 8 PM Saturday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Masonic rites will be conducted at 8 PM Saturday.
