Troy Lee Eddleman

Troy Eddleman Age: 57 years A resident of Goreville, IL. Passed away Tuesday morning, November 3, 2009, at 10:03 AM at his home in Goreville, IL. Troy was born February 22, 1952 in the Perks community in Pulaski County, IL. He was the son of Cletus Eddleman and Agnes (Ramage) Eddleman. Troy was united in marriage to Susie (Newton) on October 18, 1974 at the Simpson Baptist Church. She survives. Other survivors include: His Parents - Cletus & Agnes Eddleman of the Perks community 2 Sisters - Carolyn Eddleman of the Perks community Charlotte Sickling, and her husband Rocky, of Ullin, IL a Nephew - Joey Sickling, and his wife Stacy, of Anna, IL a Niece - Carrie Epperson, and her husband David, of Blue Springs, MO Great Nieces - Molly Sickling and Lily Grace Sickling Great Nephew - Todd Epperson a Host of other relatives & many dear friends Troy was a 1970 graduate of Century High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Germany from 1972-1974. Troy had attended Shawnee Community College at Ullin, IL, where he had taken general studies, as well as computer and electrical wiring courses. Troy had worked as a custodian at Shawnee Community College. He later served as the custodian at the Buncombe Grade School from August 1, 1977 until his health prevented him from working. Troy was a devoted and faithful member of the Busby Chapel Freewill Baptist Church at Goreville, IL. He served as a Deacon, taught the Senior Sunday School class, and had formerly served as Sunday School Superintendent. Troy was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed gardening, hunting & fishing. Troy was a "jack of all trades and master of none." He tackled home repair projects, enjoyed carpentry, wood working, electrical work and small engine repair. Troy was staunchly patriotic and had a great love for his country. Funeral services will be held Friday morning, November 6, 2009, at 11 AM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Brother Dale Billingsley and Brother Kenny Blumenstock will officiate. Burial will be in the Meisenheimer/Mt. Olive Cemetery near Dongola. Military graveside rites will be accorded by the Heyde-Pillow VFW Post 1301 and the Illinois Burial Honors Detail. Friends may call from 5 PM - 8 PM Thursday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
