Sherry Hall

Sherry (Robinson) Hall, age 75 years, a resident of rural Eddyville, Illinois, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 5, 2026, at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Sherry was born December 24, 1950 in the Robbs community in Pope County Illinois. She was the daughter of Clyde M. and Susie J. (White) Robinson. On February 24, 1971, Sherry was united in marriage to James W. Hall at the Glendale United Methodist Church. He survives. Sherry is also survived by: three children – John (Katrina) Hall, Matt (Amanda) Hall and Carol D. (Ray) Bennett all of Eddyville; seven grandchildren – Noah Hall, Natalie Hall, Gracie Hall, Taylor (Kevin) Gibbs, Cooper Hall, Bricen Bennett, and Brodie Bennett; a great granddaughter – Kenlee Hall, one brother – Philip (Cindy) Robinson of Simpson; 5 sisters – Carol (Ronald) Zderad of Willow Springs, Diana Anderson of Simpson, Vicki (Chuck) Aly of Simpson, Kathy (Rodger) Davis of Navarre, Florida, and Christie Robinson of Tunnel Hill; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by: a brother – Tracy Robinson; and a brother-in-law – Jim Anderson. Sherry was a 1968 graduate of Vienna High School. She was employed for 25 years as a cook by the Pope County Community School District, prior to her retirement in 2012. Sherry enjoyed fishing. She cherished time spent with her family and particularly enjoyed the company of her grandchildren. Sherry was a member of the First Global Methodist Church in Carrier Mills, Illinois. A funeral service honoring the life of Sherry Robinson Hall will be conducted Thursday afternoon, April 9, 2026, at 2 P.M. at the First Global Methodist Church, 109 East Washington St., Carrier Mills, Illinois. Rev. Stan Irvin will officiate. Burial will be in the Glendale Cemetery in Pope County Illinois. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 12 Noon until the funeral hour at the church.
