Matthew J. Farris Age: 33 years A resident of Ava, IL and a former resident of Vienna, IL. Passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at 9:00 AM at Southeast Missouri Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Matt was born July 19, 1974 in Paducah, Kentucky. He was the son of Joe C. Farris and Brenda (Gulley) Farris. Matt was united in marriage to Dawn R. Kranawetter on February 2, 2002 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She survives. Pulaski, IL Russ & Kirsten Farris of Springfield, IL Sister - Sara Farris of Houston, TX Step Brothers - Chad & Julie Martin of Wheeler, IL Josh Carney of Lombard, IL Step Sister - Suzie Alfonso of Conover, NC Maternal Grandmother - Wanda Gulley of Vienna, IL Mother-in-Law & Father-in-Law: Betty & Dale Kranawetter of Ava, IL Sisters-in-Law - Michelle Newfarmer of Murphysboro, IL Cheryl & Brock Gale of Jacob, IL Brother-in-Law - Jeremey (fianc‚e: Megan Layne) Kranawetter of Murphysboro, IL 8 Nieces & Nepehws Uncles: Dean & Nita Gulley of Vienna, IL Terry Gulley of Cypress, IL Matt was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather and Paternal Grandparents. Matt was a teacher at Trico High School. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Vienna, IL. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, June 1, 2008, at 1:30 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Rev. Raymond Barclay and Rev. Keith Bradley will officiate. Burial will be in the Johnson Cemetery, east of Vienna, IL. Friends may call from 3 PM - 6:30 PM Friday, May 30, 2008, at Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava, IL. A memorial service will follow at 7 PM. Friends may also call after 4 PM Saturday and from 9 AM - 1:30 PM Sunday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Memorials may be made to an Educational Fund which will be established for Matt's daughters, Kendall & Sydney, or may be made to the Heather Harper Treat Memorial Fund, PO Box 98, Vienna, IL 62995.
