Mary I. (Cook) Evetts Age: 86 years A resident of Tunnel Hill, Illinois Passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 5:50 PM at the Hillview Health Care Center in Vienna, Illinois. Born: May 25, 1924 in New Burnside, Illinois. She was the daughter of Walter Cook, Sr. and Fannie (Newbold) Cook. Mary was united in marriage to Charles Evetts. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1991. Survivors include: 2 Daughters - Marilyn Sue Cardinal & Tom Bagby of Grand Chain, IL and Vickie & Lonnie Ross of Tunnel Hill, IL; 2 Sons - Roger & Tanna Evetts of Bloomfield, MO and Bill & Tee Evetts of Ozark, IL; 10 Grandchildren - Beth Ann Belden, Tony Lane & Marlene Belden, David Eitleman, Michael & Rhiannen Cardinal, Roger Jr. & Crista Evetts, Bill Jr. & April Evetts, Alan & Michelle Colboth, Will & Jo Ashley Ross, Katie & Nick Turvold & Kalin Goins; 22 Great Grandchildren - Timmy & Ashlee Lewis, Deidra & Eli Cornelius, Michael Shane Cardinal, Taylor Cardinal, Becca Cardinal, Mallorie Cardinal, Lane Ross, Rylee Ross, Evee Ross, Jenny Eitleman, Nevaeh Ross, Kaitlin Turvold, Livia Tite, Matthew Colboth, Timothy Colboth, Breanna Evetts, Brett Evetts, Britney Evetts, Kourtney Evetts, Paige Evetts, Stephanie Evetts and Billy D. Evetts III; 1 Great-Great Grandson - Wyatt Cornelius; 2 Sisters - Ina Whitley - Hopedale, IL and Jo Steiger - Bloomfield Community, Johnson County IL; Nieces & Nephews; a Sister-in-Law - Bonnie Cook - Bloomfield Community, Johnson County IL. In addition to her Parents and Husband, Mary was preceded in death by: a Sister - Mabel Dalton and 6 Brothers - Ronnie, Wilburn, Walter Jr, Roscoe, John and Orville "Slim" Cook. Mary was a homemaker. She had also worked as a waitress and a cook. She attended the Reynoldsburg Community Church. Mary enjoyed horses, nature and tending to her roses. She loved spending time with her family, especially her Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 10, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna, IL. Brother Billy Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in the Reynoldsburg Cemetery near Tunnel Hill, IL. Visitation will be from 11 AM - 1 PM Friday at the Bailey Funeral Home.
