Marianne Hyde

Marianne Hyde, age 45 years, a resident of Vienna, Illinois, passed away Sunday evening, August 25, 2013, at 11:03 PM at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois. Marianne was born September 13, 1967 in Metropolis, Illinois. She was the daughter of Frank and Virginia “Jenny” Hyde and Andy and JoAnn Evans of Metropolis, IL Marianne was united in marriage to Randy Lynn Gibson on July 7, 1999 in Vienna, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 26, 2006. Survivors include: her two sons - Karl Jordan Hyde (age 21) and Trenton Michael Hyde (age 13); a sister – Jennifer (Jack) Holloman; 2 brothers – Dan (Anita) Kerley and Michael (Sonia) Hyde; a Niece – Tanya (Jeff) Rhodes; 3 nephews – Dane Kerley, Jamie (Shannon) Kerley, and Jake Hyde; a great niece – Meghan Rhodes; 2 stepsisters – Sharon “Bambi” Eftink and Nancy Stremme; a stepbrother – Skip Evans; and her dearest friend – Joy Manning. In addition to her parents, stepfather, and husband, Marianne was preceded in death by a brother, Karl James Schnaare. Marianne was a graduate of the Vienna Grade School and a 1985 graduate of Vienna High School. She attended Shawnee Community College and received certificates in Cosmetology and Food Service, as well as being a Certified Nurses Aid. Marianne had worked in the office of the Johnson County Supervisor of Assessments. She later worked at Midwest Realty and more recently had been employed as a caregiver at the Glen Brook home in Vienna. Marianne loved all people and treated everyone as a friend. She lived for her sons and enjoyed watching them play sports. She was always giving of herself to anyone in need, a trait she took after her mother. At family get-togethers and birthday she always had homemade cards that let people know they were special. Marianne loved Buck Owens Christmas music and always made Christmas a special time for all her family. She was always the first to call and sing “Happy Birthday” (never leaving out the age) to friends and family alike, regardless how she felt that day. As a young girl, Marianne was baptized at the Vienna First Christian Church. She had a love for Jesus that showed through in how she treated all people with kindness. Funeral services will be held Friday morning, August 30, 2013, at 11 AM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Burial will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 PM – 8 PM Thursday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Memorials may be made to an educational fund to be established for Marianne’s son, Trenton, and may be left in care of Bailey Funeral Home, PO Box 695, Vienna, IL 62995.
