Linda Henderson

Linda C. Henderson, daughter of Tom Finley & Ruby (McMillen) Finley, was born December 12, 1953. She departed this life Sunday evening, January 15, 2006, at the St. Louis University Medical Center. At the time of her passing, Linda had attained the age of 52 years 1 month & 3 days. Linda was united in marriage to Larry D. Henderson on July 28, 1979 in Charleston, MO. He preceded her in death on February 19, 2004. Survivors include: a Daughter ƒ?" Stephanie & Jason Akins of Cypress, IL; 3 Sons ƒ?" Brian Finley of Boles, IL; Larry & Toni Henderson of Tunnel Hill, IL, & Jeff Henderson of Campbell, MO; 4 Grandchildren ƒ?" Rocky Douglas Henderson, Amity Knichole Akins, Weston Lee Henderson, & Logan J.D. Akins; 5 Sisters ƒ?" Martha & Billy Shankle of Charleston, MO, Rita Jarvis of Pensacola, FL, Kay & Billy Ferguson of Clarksville, TN, Trisha Traughber of Portageville, MO, & Deborah & Carl A. Meyer of Vienna, IL; 5 Brothers ƒ?" James & Lajenna Finley of Portageville, MO, Bobby Finley of Steele, MO, Billy Finley of Charleston, MO, Donnie Finley of Paragould, ARK, & Troy & Bessie Smith of Benton, MO; and a host of Nieces & Nephews. In addition to her Parents & Husband, Linda was preceded in death by an infant sister ƒ?" Brenda Sue Finley. Linda was a graduate of Shawnee Community College at Ullin, IL with an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development. She was employed for approx. 13 years as a teacher at the Southern Seven Head Start facility in Vienna, IL. Linda was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed reading & computers. Linda was a loving Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt & Friend to many. She will be deeply missed and dearly remembered by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, January 21, 2006, at 2 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Rev. Robert Burch will officiate. Interment will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 PM Friday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
