Jim E. Price

Jim E. Price, age 66 years, a resident of Vienna, IL. and a former resident of Eldorado, IL, passed away Friday morning, April 23, 2004, at 9:50 AM at his home in Vienna, IL. Born: November 5, 1937 in Eldorado, Illinois. He was the son of Leo Price and Kathleen (Murphy) Price. Jim was united in marriage to Delva (Brisart) on November 30, 1957 in Joliet, IL. She survives. Other survivors include: 3 Sons: Jimmy Price of St. Louis, MO, Jackie Price of Munster, IN, Mike Price of St. Louis, MO; a Daughter: Suzanne Griffiths of Vienna, IL; 9 Grandchilren; a Great Granddaughter & His Father-in-Law: Constant Brisart of Sikeston, MO In addition to his Parents, Jim was preceded in death by: His Sister – Roena Price & His Mother-in-Law – Dorothy Brisart Jim was a 1955 graduate of the Eldorado High School. He was employed as an Assistant Vice President of the Bank of Naperville. Jim moved his family to Johnson County where he was employed as a Loan Officer at the Drover’s Bank in Vienna, IL. He also worked as an Auditor for the Illinois Dept. of Revenue; and later was employed by the Johnson County Supervisor of Assessments Office. More recently he had worked at Player’s (now Harrah’s) Casino in Metropolis, IL. Jim was a charter member of the Vienna Lions Club. He was a member of the Johnson County Heritage Festival committee; a former member of the Jaycee’s; a Johnson County Khoury League organizer and a founding member of the Vienna High School Band Parents organization. Jim was of the Pentecostal faith. He was an avid sportsman; especially enjoying fishing. Jim was a dedicated St. Louis Cardinals fan. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, April 26, 2004, at 1 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Rev. Bill Gholson will officiate. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 PM Monday afternoon at the Wolf Creek Cemetery at Eldorado, IL. Friends may call from 10 AM – 1 PM Monday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
