Jennifer Lyn Moore Wright

Jennifer Lyn Moore Wright, age 38 years, a resident of Makanda, Illinois, passed away Thursday morning, March 19, 2015, at 4:25 AM at her home. Jennifer was born April 10, 1976 in Live Oak, Florida. She was the daughter of Sgt. Gene Steven Moore and Marcia Lee (Woodcock) Moore. Survivors include: her mother and stepfather – Marcia and Will Grant; her father and stepmother – Gene and Barbara Moore; her beloved companion – Eligah L. “Ely” Thompson; her sons – Issic Eligah Thompson, Dalton Wright, and Joseph Smith; brothers – Timothy Moore and William Grant II; a sister – Amanda Grant, a stepsister – Nicki DuBois; as well as Larry Thompson and Mary Jane Frick Thompson, who are Ely’s parents and Issic’s grandparents; Ely’s sisters and brother as well as Issic’s aunts and uncle- Aisha Robinson, Laura Thompson, Emily Thompson, Maura Thompson and Lucas Thompson. Jennifer is also survived by her aunts – Teresa League, Sherri Riles, Anita Winslead, and Shelia McGuire; 2 great aunts- Vanna Hallmon and Dollie Smith; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends who will always cherish the memories that they have of Jennifer. Jennifer was a homemaker. She had previously been employed as a convenience store clerk and had worked at the Pizza Hut in Anna and McDonald’s Restaurant in Carbondale. Jennifer was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed raising flowers, watching movies, listening to music and spending time with her family. She especially cherished the time she spent with her son Isaac. ife is too short to dwell on every day. The Lord picks our time. He puts us on this earth and I know that she is walking now with Him on streets of gold, waiting to see us all again. Love you forever in my heart and soul, Jennifer. ‘Til we meet again, I love you Baby Girl. A Memorial Service was held Saturday afternoon, March 28, 2015 at 2PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Pastor Robert Schierbaum and Dale Schierbaum officiated. Visitation was held from 12Noon-2PM Saturday at Bailey Funeral Home.
