Jeanne S. Carlton

Jeanne S. Carlton, daughter of Jeffrey Rogerson & Margaret (Davis) Rogerson, was born November 16, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois. She departed this life Tuesday afternoon, December 4, 2007, at 2:15 PM at Medco of Paducah, Kentucky. At the time of her passing, Jeanne had attained the age of 83 years and 18 days. Jeanne was united in marriage to L. Lyle Carlton on March 8, 1946 in Oswego, Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 20, 2000. Survivors include: Her Children - Kathy & Bob Coburn of Castaic, California, Karen Carlton of Vienna, Illinois, Shirley & Roger Sharp of White Heath, Illinois, Linda & Charles Turok of Chelsea, Michigan, Craig & Ellen Carlton of Vienna, Illinois, Cindy Lehotan of Paducah, Kentucky and Amy & Sean White of Kevil, Kentucky; 12 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren; 2 Brothers - Robert Jeffrey Rogerson of North Aurora, Illinois and David William Rogerson of Oswego, Illinois; A Sister ƒ?" Marilyn Suzanne Marklein of Montgomery, Illinois. In addition to her Husband, Jeanne was preceded in death by her Parents. Jeanne was a 1942 graduate of the Oswego Community High School. Following her graduation, Jeanne was employed as a painter in a plaque manufacturing facility in Oswego, Illinois. In 1946, she went to work for Hawleyƒ?Ts Manufacturing in St. Charles, Illinois and later worked as a seamstress in at the Good Luck Glove manufacturing factory in Vienna, Illinois. Jeanne was also a devoted wife & mother and assisted her husband Lyle in the operation of the family farm. Jeanne was a member for over 20 years of the Prospect Unit of the Johnson County Homemakerƒ?Ts Extension. She also volunteered for approx. 11 years as a 4-H leader. Jeanne enjoyed embroidery, was an avid reader and enjoyed working jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Jeanne was a faithful member of the Church of Christ located on the Old Metropolis Road near Vienna, Illinois. Jeanne leaves her family and friends to cherish her memory. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, December 8, 2007, at 1 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Brother Charles Turok & Brother Mark Turok will officiate. Interment will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 AM ƒ?" 1 PM Saturday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
