James F. Jarrett, Sr. Age: 61 years A resident of rural Grantsburg, IL for the past four years and a former resident of Waukegan, IL. Passed away Saturday morning, August 18, 2007, at 7:45 AM at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. Jim was born March 12, 1946 in Waukegan, IL. He was the son of Orla F. Jarrett & Shirley (Cashmore) Jarrett. Jimƒ?Ts adoptive parents were William & Vera Meyer. Jim was united in marriage to Nancy J. (Meyers) on July 4, 1992 in Waukegan, IL. She survives. Jarrett, Jr., and his wife Linda, of Grantsburg, IL Rhonda Harden, and her husband Ray, of Zion, IL Patty Krumpla, and her husband Keith, of Wadsworth, IL Kip A. Jarrett, and his wife Stephanie of Royal Oaks, Mich. Nathan A. Meyers of Kenosha, WI 11 Grandchildren - Ryan, Alex, Ashley, Brian, Jessica, Jake, Justin, Kip Jr., Adrianna, Chloe Isabella, & Katherine Ann ƒ?oKatieƒ?? 3 Brothers - William Jarrett, and his wife Susan, of Virginia Robert Jarrett, and his wife Mary, of Winthrop Harbor, IL Gary Kopier of Burlington, WI 5 Sisters - Kathy Meyer of Rhinelander, WI Brenda Meyer of Mississippi Patty McNeely of Waukegan Cheryl McNeely of Slinger, WI Margaret Hodge of Michigan Nieces & Nephews Jim was preceded in death by: His Father ƒ?" Orla F. Jarrett His Adoptive Father ƒ?" William Meyer A Sister ƒ?" Kathy Farmer His Mother-in-Law ƒ?" Lucille E. Meyers An Uncle ƒ?" Berger Meyer His Stepfather ƒ?" Randy McNeely Jim joined the U.S. Marine Corp, but was discharged following basic training for medical reasons. Jim was employed for 30 years in the maintenance dept. of Johnson Outboard Motors in Waukegan, IL, prior to his retirement in 1989. He was later employed by North Chicago Auto, a towing and repair service, and was a partner in ƒ?oThe Wrecker Serviceƒ?? in Waukegan. Jim was a Past President of the Waukegan Eagles Club, and was an active member for many years of the Moose Lodge in Zion, IL. For the past 3 years, Jim has been a member of the Metropolis Moose Lodge. He was of the Lutheran faith. Jim was very mechanically inclined and could fix practically anything. He loved working outside or in his pole barn on a ƒ?ofix-itƒ?? project. Jim was also an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting & fishing. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning, August 23, 2007, at 9 AM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Burial will be in the Reevesville Cemetery.
