Harry Lee, as he was affectionately known to family and friends, was born April 17, 1937 at Ozark, Illinois. He was the son of William “Clarence” Treat and Blanche (Breeden) Treat. Harry Lee is survived by: his daughters – Susan (Rick) Odum and Carol Vinson; his loving companion – Sharon Green; grandchildren – Benjamin McGill, Rachel (Matt) Fike, Dylan Robertson; and great grandchildren – Arris, Aiden, Renae, and Mattie. In addition to his parents, Harry Lee was preceded in death by: 5 brothers – Jim, Bill, Kenneth, Donald and Ed Treat; 3 sisters – Kathern Rose Douglas, Mary Williams, and JoAnn Cluster; and an infant sister – Judy Treat. Harry Lee served in the United States Army from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1962. He was a member of Heyde-Pillow VFW Post # 1301 and the American Legion Post # 147 both in Marion, Illinois. Harry Lee was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a 55+ year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers (I.U.O.E.) local # 318 at Marion, Illinois. Harry Lee had been a member of the Masonic fraternity for 28 years. His current lodge membership was at Vienna Masonic Lodge # 150 A.F. & A.M. He was also a life-member of the Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine (A.A.O.N.M.S.) Ainad Temple since 2002 as well as a Gold Age Eagle since 2007 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie # 2457 in Marion, Illinois. Harry Lee is fondly remembered for his love of gardening and the huge vegetable garden which he would raise each year. He was a member of the Ozark Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning, September 25, 2024, at 11 A.M. at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Pastor Jeff Treat and Pastor Greg Douglas will officiate. Burial will be in the Wise-Robinson Cemetery, north of Ozark. Military graveside honors will be accorded. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home. There will also be a time of visitation Wednesday morning, September 25, 2024, from 10 A.M. until the funeral hour at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Masonic rites will be accorded at 8 P.M. Tuesday evening under the auspices of Vienna Masonic lodge # 150 A.F. & A.M.
