Harry Lockaby Age: 81 years A resident of rural Vienna, IL Passed away Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the home of his daughter, Judy Lockaby Key in Empire, AL. Harry was born June 26, 1927 in Pope County Illinois. He was the son of James Lockaby & Inez (Maynor) Lockaby. Harry was united in marriage to Lovie May (Pender) Test on February 22, 1953 in Tupelo, Mississippi. She preceded him in death on May 24, 2002. Survivors include: 2 Daughters - Judy Lockaby Key, and her husband, Terry of Empire, AL Beverly Test Brown of Granite City, IL a Son - James Test of Vienna, IL 9 Grandchildren - JaVonna Lynne Martin of Jasper, AL James Trotter, and his wife Teresa, of Jasper, AL Joshua Trotter, and his wife Michelle, of Jasper, AL Bennie Brown of Granite City, IL Gary Brown, and his wife Dana, of Bridgeton, MO Tommy Brown of Granite City, IL Bobby Test, and his wife Julie, of San Antonio, TX Bruce Test, and his wife Terri, of Austin, TX Todd Test, and his wife Dorothy, of Vienna, IL, and Sonya Carlton, and her husband Gary, of Vienna, IL. 15 Great Grandchildren 2 Great Great Grandchildren a Sister - Ruth Evitts of rural Simpson, IL a Sister-in-Law - Elizabeth Pender of Gadsden, AL 3 Nieces - Linda Fulkerson, Lida Gray, & Venita McFarland a Special Friend - Marie Keeling In addition to his Parents and Wife, Harry was preceded in death by: 2 Sisters - Lena Mankin and Madie Shoemaker 2 Brothers - Dee Lockaby and James Lockaby Harry attended the Pope County Community High School. He was a United States Navy Veteran, having served in the Seabees in the South Pacific during World War II. Harry was a member of the Carroll P. Foster VFW Post in Anna, IL Harry was a retired heavy equipment operator and member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local # 318. He had also worked in the mining industry and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. Harry was a 56 year member of Eddyville Masonic Lodge # 672 AF&AM. Funeral Services will be held Monday afternoon, September 29, 2008 at 2 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna, Illinois. Entombment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, near Buncombe, Illinois. Military Graveside Rites will be accorded by the Heyde-Pillow Marion VFW Post #1301. Friends may call from 6 PM - 8 PM Sunday evening at the Bailey Funeral Home. Masonic Rites will be accorded by Eddyville Masonic Lodge #672 at 8 PM. Memorials are suggested to the Eldridge Children's Home, P.O.
