Everett Lee Walker

Everett Lee Walker, son of William Andrew Walker & Etta Mae Stevens Walker, was born December 24, 1927 in Johnson County Illinois. He departed this life Sunday morning January 21, 2007, at 7:10 AM at the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna, Illinois. At the time of his passing, Lee had attained the age of 79 years & 28 days. Lee was united in marriage to his soul mate, Dolores ƒ?oLoryƒ?? Lehde on September 11, 1948 in Paragould, Arkansas. Those who are left to mourn his passing include: His Wife ƒ?" Dolores ƒ?oLoryƒ?? Walker of Vienna, IL; a Daughter ƒ?" Barb & Bill Warmack of Vienna, IL; a Grandduaghter ƒ?" Lorylee & DeWayne Hensley of Vienna, IL; a Brother-in-Law ƒ?" Don & Shirley; a Host of Nieces, Nephews, other relatives & many friends. In addition to his Parents, Lee was preceded in death by: His beloved Son ƒ?" Donald Walker; 3 Brothers ƒ?" Albert Walker, Virgil Walker & Ogal Walker; 2 Sisters ƒ?" Dean Newton & Almeda Parker. Lee was a graduate of the Goreville High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during World War II in the Pacific theater of operation. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #318. Lee was also a member of the Anna Moose Lodge, a life member of the Heyde-Pillow VFW Post of Marion, IL, and a member and Past Master of Stone Arch Masonic Lodge #953 AF&AM. Lee was of the Protestant faith. He was dedicated to his work & family. Lee enjoyed reading western novels, visiting & drinking coffee with his friends. Lee leaves his family & many dear friends to cherish his memory. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, January 24, 2007, at 1 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Rev. Scott Harner will officiate. Interment will be in the Cypress Masonic Cemetery, military graveside rites will be accorded by the Heyde-Pillow VFW Post of Marion, IL. Friends may call from 5 ƒ?" 8 PM Tuesday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Masonic rites will be accorded at 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home under the auspices of Stone Arch Masonic Lodge.
