Everett L. \"Bud\" Brown

Everett L. ƒ?oBudƒ?? Brown, son of William Jackson Brown and Margaret Ann (Harner) Brown, was born February 23, 1919 in Johnson County Illinois. He departed this life Thursday evening, December 13, 2007, at 11:15 PM at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY. At the time of his passing, Bud had attained the age of 88 years 9 months & 20 days. Bud was united in marriage to Gertrude (Ford) on December 25, 1940 in Jackson, Missouri. Together, Bud & Gertrude had enjoyed almost 67 years of marriage. In addition to his wife, Bud is survived by: 3 Daughters - Carolyn S. & Bill Lawrence of Ozark, IL, Connie & Frank Faulkner of Smithland, KY and Angie & Marty Matthews of Burna, KY; 2 Sons - Terry & Fay Brown of Goreville, IL and Jeff & Laura Brown of Ozark, IL; 12 Grandchildren - Donald, Daniel, Sue Ellen, Mike, Michelle, Jennifer, Wade, Denise, Nathan, Heather, Dillon, & Michael; 13 Great Grandchildren - Lori, Justin, Aaron, Matthew, Addie, Bradley, Tyler, Brianna, Jessica, Colton, Chance, Austin, & Kameron; A Sister ƒ?" Vivian & Bob Bowen of Vienna, IL; Nieces & Nephews. In addition to his Parents, Bud was preceded in death by: 2 Brothers ƒ?" Bill Brown and Lloyd ƒ?oShortƒ?? Brown; 5 Sisters ƒ?" Dorothy Rainbolt, Gertrude Schierbaum, India Vinson, Nellie Vinson, & Lillian Odum. Bud was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He served in the Pacific Theater of operation. Bud was a carpenter and a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America Local 0638. Additionally, he had worked at Gould National Battery Co. in Kankakee, IL for 6 years. Bud was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed working on his farm near Ozark. He was a member of the Tunnel Hill Pentecostal Church and was a devoted student of the Bible. Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon, December 17, 2007, at 1 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Rev. Albert Simmons will officiate. Interment will be in the Wise-Robinson Cemetery.
