Mrs. Ellen M. Morris

Ellen Averitt Morris Age: 59 years A resident of Vienna, Illinois and a native of Cooksville, Illinois. Passed away Monday evening, April 30, 2012, at 9:30 PM at the Carbondale Memorial Hospital. Ellen was born June 5, 1952 in Bloomington, Illinois. She was the daughter of Donald Ray Landrus & Leona Agatha (Crook) Landrus. Ellen was united in marriage to Jesse Averitt on February 12, 1970 in Bloomington, Illinois. Ellen was later united in marriage to Wiley Robert Morris, Jr. on February 14, 1991 at the Lake of Egypt. He preceded her in death on January 1, 2012. Survivors include: Her Children - Jesse Averitt of the Lake of Egypt Ginger & Richie McBride of Vienna, IL Tonia Averitt of Indianapolis, IN Her Step Children - Karol Stahl of Simpsonville, SC Mike Morris of Springfield, OR Alisa Morris of Kansas City, KS 6 Grandchildren – Jordan & Quinton McBride Mason Averitt Peyton, Zachary, & Aiden Sibert 5 Step Grandchildren 6 Step Great Grandchildren 3 Brothers - Roy, Carl, & Tommy Landrus all of Bloomington, IL A Sister – Sally Smith of Cooksville, IL Her faithful canine companion, Rusty In addition to her Parents and Husband Bob Morris, Ellen was preceded in death by: A Daughter – Angel Averitt 2 Step Children – Randy L. Morris and Kimberly Jakubco 2 Brothers – Carrol and Charles Landrus A Sister – Rose Orris Ellen attended the Octavia Public School in Colfax, Illinois. She was a homemaker and had also worked as a home healthcare provider for Addus Home Health Care and had previously been employed by the Shawnee Development Home Health Care program. Ellen was devoted to her family. She and Bob enjoyed spending time with friends listening to music and socializing. Ellen loved horses. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 5, 2012, at 11 AM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Interment will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 AM – 11 AM Saturday at Bailey Funeral Home.
