Deloris Wilson

Deloris A. Wilson Age: 76 years A resident of rural Vienna, IL. Passed away Friday afternoon, August 14, 2009, at 4:18 PM at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Deloris was born March 7, 1933 in Union County Illinois. She was the daughter of William R. Powles and Mary Lorene (Allen) Powles. Deloris was united in marriage to Jack E. Wilson in 1952 in Alton, Illinois. He survives. Wilson Kimberly & Adam Shoemaker Brock Ackmann Brandy Adams Heather & Jeremy Wharton Keith & Lorin Wilson, Jr. Christina & Bradley Peace Jamie & Ray Simmerson Jennifer & Allen Burrows Shelley & Donnie Johnson Wendy & Lou Maennche Billy & Teresa Baker Cindy & Jeff Vancleve Michelle & William Martin Brandie & Shane Layhew Bryan Baker 38 Great Grandchildren 2 Brothers - Howard Ray Powles of Tamms, IL Frank Powles of Jonesboro, IL 3 Sisters - Louise Thompson of Mill Creek, IL Fern Thompson of Dongola, IL Imogene Lynn of Mill Creek, IL Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other relatives & many dear friends. Deloris was a 1950 graduate of Anna-Jonesboro High School. She had been employed as an aide at various area nursing homes, as well as working as a cook at the Vienna Grade School. For a number of years, Deloris was the housekeeping supervisor at the Silver Saddle Resort in California City, CA. Deloris was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church near Buncombe, IL. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan. Deloris also enjoyed camping, reading, and quilting. She enjoyed the music of Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline, & Conway Twitty. Deloris especially cherished the time she spent with family & friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon, August 18, 2009, at 2 PM at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Rev. Jim Shipley will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Buncombe. Friends may call from 11 AM - 2 PM Tuesday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Memorials may be made to the Mt.
