The service will be archived for 90 days following the date of the service for later viewing. https://together.oneroomstreaming.com/8WMCJ7 Daniel E. “Danny” Taylor, age 64 years, a resident of rural Vienna, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly Friday morning, February 20, 2026, at 9:10 A.M. at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky. Danny was born February 17, 1962 in Aurora, Illinois. He was the son of Clyde and Sally (Sanders) Taylor. On August 9, 1997, Danny was united in marriage to Lisa D. (Sheffer) in Pope County, Illinois. She survives. In addition to his wife, Danny is survived by: his mother – Sally Taylor; children – Zachary Taylor, Joshua (Chandler) Taylor and grandson, Noah, Adam (Molly Wood) Windings, and Lauren Windings; 10 grandchildren; his sisters – Penny (David) Rockwell, Pam (Barry) Treat, and Amy (Clint) Bishop; as well as a host of extended family, including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Danny was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Taylor. Danny was a 1979 graduate of Vienna High School and attended Shawnee Community College. Through the years, Danny was employed by his family’s farming operation, Clyde Taylor, Inc., as well as Dry Systems, Inc., Midwest Aviation, Western Baptist Hospital, and the Illinois Department of Corrections. He was a franchisee and operator of ReNew Softwash of Southern Illinois. Most recently, Danny served as the regional fleet controller for W.A. Kendall (formerly Endrizzi Contracting) in Vienna. Danny was a member of Vienna Masonic Lodge # 150 A.F. & A.M. Danny loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and deer hunter. He cherished time spent fishing with his son and grandson. Danny relished in his role as the “Family Entertainment Coordinator.” He was an accomplished cook and loved to entertain family and friends. Danny enjoyed music and had an uncanny ability of being able to name a song after having only heard the first few notes. He was a true music connoisseur. Danny was a member of the Christian faith. A service honoring the life of Danny Taylor will be held Wednesday afternoon, February 25, 2026, at 2 P.M. at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. The service will commence with Masonic rites accorded by Vienna Masonic Lodge # 150 A.F. & A.M. The funeral will immediately follow. Pastor Jeff Treat will officiate. Burial will be in the Whiteside Cemetery, northeast of Vienna. Visitation will be conducted Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour at 2 P.M. The preferred form of remembrance would be memorial donations to either the Whiteside Cemetery, c/o Bailey Funeral Home, P.O.
