Clement William Kubian, Sr. age: 81 years, a resident of rural Vienna, IL for the past 30 years and a former resident of South Brunswick, NJ. Passed away Monday afternoon, October 24, 2005 at 3:05 PM at his home near Vienna, IL. Born: September 11, 1924 in South River, NJ. He was the son of Steven Kubian & Louise (Panek) Kubian. Clement was united in marriage to Helen S. (Sisolak) on October 15, 1949 at Perth Amboy, NJ. She survives. Other survivors include: 2 Sons ƒ?" C. William Kubian, Jr. & his wife Debbie, of Monroe, NJ; and Mark Kubian & his wife Nan, of South Brunswick, NJ 5 Daughters ƒ?" Janice Kubian-Bryant, & her husband Mark, of Maryville, IL; Elizabeth Saltzman of Vienna, IL;Theresa Kubian, & her husband Andy Schroker of Blooming Glen, PA;Carol Simmons, & her husband Dave, of Vienna, IL; Christine Ross, & her husband Mike, of Vienna, IL.;16 Grandchildren: Clement William Kubian III, Jamie Cintron, Sarah Bryant, Nicholas Kubian, Craig Kubian, Julia Kubian, Ronald Saltzman, Shaun Saltzman, Brandy Saltzman, Andrew Schroker, Natalie Schroker, Stefan Kubian, Amy Simmons, Alex Ross, Nathaniel Ross, & Gabriel Ross; 3 Great Grandchildren: Marah Ann Saltzman, Dylan Saltzman, & Robert Cintron, Jr.; 2 Sisters: Marie Halasz & Louise Csirke both of Little Egg Harbor, NJ; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other relatives & many friends In addition to his Parents, Clement was preceded in death by: 2 Sisters: Rose Wingler & Martha Gutwein; 5 Brothers: Steven Kubian, Louis Kubian, Joseph Kubian, Dr. Edward Kubian, & Fred Kubian. Clement was a U.S. Navy veteran. He served during World War II (from 1942-1946) and during the Korean War (from 1950-1952). He served as a ships fitter aboard a Navy destroyer. Clement was a member of the Beggs-Gurley VFW Post 5222 in Vienna, IL. Clement retired from the U.S. Navy Dept. in 1969, where he had been employed as a Sheet & Plate Metal Worker. He had served as the Chief Steward of the International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers local in Trenton, NJ from 1965-1969. Clement was a devoted member of St. Paul Catholic Church near Vienna, IL. He enjoyed reading, storytelling, and music. He played the guitar & the harmonica. Clement was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time on his farm, where he had raised cattle. Clement enjoyed fishing, hunting, & cloud watching. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Saturday morning, October 29, 2005, at 10 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church near Vienna, IL. Father Jose Ancheril will officiate. Interment will be in the Friendship Cemetery, near Dongola, IL. Military graveside rites will be accorded by the Beggs-Gurley VFW Post # 5222. Friends may call from 6 PM ƒ?" 8 PM Friday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. A Prayer Service will be conducted at 8 PM Friday. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois, 1110 N.
