Cynthia G. “Cindy” (Brumley) Clover, age 66 years, a resident of rural Vienna, Illinois, passed away Monday morning, June 29, 2026, at 6:27 A.M. at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky. At the time of her passing, Cindy was surrounded by members of her loving family. Cindy, as she was known to family and friends, was born March 4, 1960 at the Union County Hospital in Anna, Illinois. She was the youngest of 4 children born to Ado and Catherine (Taylor) Brumley. On July 4, 2013, Cindy was united in marriage to Allen F. “Pete” Vinson in Anna, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 28, 2022. On May 4, 2024, Cindy was united in marriage to Kevin M. Clover in Anna, Illinois. He survives. In addition to her husband, Cindy is survived by: her mother – Catherine Brumley of Vienna, Illinois; her children – Scott E. Rheaume of Cypress, Illinois and Rachel Cooper of Columbus, Indiana; a stepdaughter – Megan (Clayton) McClellan of Pulaski, Illinois; 3 grandchildren – Noah Donaldson, Claire Cooper and Lily Cooper; her siblings – Roger Brumley of Vienna, Illinois, Bob (Karen) Brumley of Joliet, Illinois, and Donna (Chuck) Girtman of Metropolis, Illinois; nieces and nephews – Sam Girtman, Alex Brumley, Juanita Baker, Heather Baker, and Ruthie Baker; as well as cousins and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives on Kevin’s side of the family. In addition to her father, Ado, and husband, Pete, Cindy was preceded in death by: an infant grandson – Ethan Rheaume; a niece – Annie Brumley; and a nephew – Travis Girtman. Cindy attended Vienna High School and later graduated from Shawnee Community College with an Associate Degree. Cindy’s working career, which spanned over 40 years, was in banking and finance. She was last employed by the Anna-Jonesboro National Bank, where she served as an Assistant Vice-President and Loan Officer, prior to her retirement on March 15, 2024. Cindy was a member of the Union County Women in Business organization. She enjoyed many hobbies and activities, including kayaking, bicycle riding, and crafting. She particularly enjoyed working in her flower garden. Cindy found great joy in reading God’s word and Christian devotionals. She drew great strength from her faith each day. Cindy was a member of the United Missionary Baptist Church near Buncombe (in the Lick Creek community) and also attended Eagle House Ministries at Buncombe. Cindy and Kevin faithfully attended and supported both congregations. A service honoring the life of Cindy Clover will be conducted Thursday afternoon, July 2, 2026, at 1 P.M. at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Pastor Wes Johnson and Pastor Alan Milligan will officiate. Burial will be in the Graves Cemetery, north of Vienna. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, July 1, 2026, from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. There will also be a time of visitation from 11 A.M. until the service hour at 1 P.M. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, also at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the United Missionary Baptist Church, 125 United Missionary Lane, Buncombe, Illinois 62912 or to Eagle House Ministries, P.O. Box 97, Buncombe, Illinois 62912.
