Christy was born November 16, 1948 in Covington, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Harold L. Presser and Audrey P. (Markesbery) Presser. On November 16, 1988, Christy was united in marriage to Terry “Toby” Pierce at the McCracken County Courthouse in Paducah, Kentucky. He survives. In addition to her husband, Christy is survived by: children – Sean (Misti) Goins of Benton, Kentucky, Tina (Scott) McCommens of Dongola, Illinois, Terry Pierce of Paducah, Kentucky, and Derek (Missy) Goins of Metropolis, Illinois; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her siblings – Curt (Melanie) Presser of Golconda, Illinois, Leanna Leben of Marion, Illinois, Doug (Carlene) Presser of Golconda, Illinois, Matt Presser of Golconda, Illinois, Audie (Kelly) King of Golconda, Illinois, Tyler (Mary Beth) Presser of Golconda, Illinois, Patrick (Missy) Presser of Golconda, Illinois, Trent (Terri) Baugher of Virginia, Shannon (Cliff) Dillard of Golconda, Illinois, Gina Denton of Paducah, Kentucky, and Brett (Mandi) Baugher of Paducah, Kentucky; sisters-in-law – Nicki Presser of Texas and Beverly Baugher of Golconda, Illinois; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, Christy was preceded in death by: siblings – Joseph H.L. “Hack” Presser, Jan Dombrow, Kirk Baugher, and Chris Baugher; a brother-in-law – Craig Leben and a sister-in-law – Margaret Presser. Christy was a 1966 graduate of Century High School. She was employed by The Family Counseling Center for over 30 years as an office manager. Christy worked for many years in the Pope County office as well as managing the secretarial staff at the Hardin County facility. Christy enjoyed spending time with the First Baptist Church sewing circle, “Hanging By A Thread.” She was also a member of a water aerobics and aqua therapy group which met at Real Rehab in Vienna. Christy also enjoyed reading and is remembered for being a “Dog-Mom” and the love she had for her canine companion, Thumper. Christy was of the Christian faith. A funeral service honoring the life of Christy Pierce will be conducted Monday afternoon, February 2, 2026, at 1 P.M. at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna. Pastor Jerry Wells will officiate. Burial will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, February 2, 2026, from 11 A.M. until the service hour at 1 P.M. at the funeral home.
