The commitment and care shown to our families does not end after the funeral. We continue to offer care and service to our families after the funeral is over. We strive to offer the bereaved in our community emotional and educational support. This is a service offered to every family.

The death of a loved one is a traumatic experience, and the sense of loss and grief which follows is a natural and important part of life. Grieving is not a sign of weakness, but rather a healthy & fitting response – a tribute to the one loved and then lost to death.

Grief is similar but so very personal and unique. Each one grieves is his or her own way and in his or her own time. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. We live in a society that tends to avoid dealing with death, grief & bereavement.
We, at Bailey Funeral Home, understand that to share grief is to lesson one’s grief.

It is an honor to walk through the valley of grief with our families during the difficult time of bereavement. It is the goal of our Aftercare program to care, support, listen to, and be present as our families grieve.

Our Aftercare services include:

• Each family receives a set of 4 booklets on grief, along with a personal letter.
• Personal Letters/Notes
• Cards of Encouragement
• “Thinking of You” Card on the first anniversary date of death.
• Appropriate information for specific needs.
• Referrals to local grief support groupsHandouts, Brochures, & Pamphlets concerning grief &
  bereavement.
• Christmas brochures on handling holidays & other special times of the year.
• Service of Remembrance held at the funeral home (customarily conducted the 1st Sunday in December).
• Personalized ongoing care provided to each family.

Our Aftercare Program is a vital and important ministry provided by our funeral home. We are honored to offer this special service to our families.
